Music from late 15th century Italian manuscripts that include a wealth of ’songs without words’ mostly by Franco-Flemish composers such as Johannes Martini, Alexander Agricola and Hayne van Ghizeghem. Several 'hit' songs were so popular that they were arranged and revisited by many later composers who added new parts and created inventive variations on them.
